Sony isn’t alone in the pre-order mess. Xbox Series S and Series X pre-orders are pretty much sold out. Some users will have to wait until November 10th to get their hands on the new consoles.

I’m no expert when it comes to pre-orders, but wouldn’t it be much easier to sell one unit per customer and force gamers to use their PSN info to keep scammers away? Plus, why are we making it possible to buy more than one unit when you can’t even figure out getting the pre-orders figured out in the first place? I know there are millions of users trying to pre-order, but both companies could work on making the process much easier for the consumer.

If you’d rather skip the pre-order mess and just go to a big box store the PS5 will be available in stores on November 12th. Xbox Series S and X will be available on November 10th.
