The Detroit Tigers announced on Thursday that single game tickets will go on sale on Friday starting at 10am. You can purchase them at Tigers.com. Opening Day this season will be on April 6 as the Tigers host the Boston Red Sox. The limit for Opening Day tickets will be eight tickets per person.
A new starting time for select home games will be at 6:40pm. In response to feedback from stakeholders around Tigers baseball, including fans, television rightsholders and baseball operations, weeknight home games this season will have a first pitch of 6:40 p.m per the team’s press release. The list of 6;40pm games are listed on the team’s website. The first 6:40 game will be on Friday, April 14th against the Giants.
For Miguel Cabrera fans, you can grab the “Miggy Celebration 4-Pack” that includes a ticket to Opening Day, April 29 vs. the Baltimore Orioles, June 10 against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Sept. 30 vs. the Cleveland Guardians. For those who get to the ballpark early to get a promotional item and may miss out, the Tigers have increased from the first 10,000 fans to 15,000. Here’s the list of giveaways, per the Tigers.
