In a shocking turn of events, the Detroit Lions will waived cornerback Mike Ford. He played well throughout the preseason. And overall, he had a respectable showing at training camp. Despite that, the Lions are departing with the special teams guru. Dave Birkett of The Detroit Free Press was the first to confirm his departure.  Ford posted a cryptic message on his Instagram, thanking the city of

Should Tigers Fans Trust Al Avila in Free Agency?

By |August 29th, 2021|Categories: Detroit Sports, MLB|Tags: , , |

This question is a no-brainer for Tigers fans. An overwhelmingly majority of fans do not simply trust Avila in any capacity with this team. Avila, along with Chris Ilitch, have been lack luster when it has come to spending money. To put that in perspective, the Tigers are in the bottom tier of the league for team payroll. https://twitter.com/woodwardsports/status/1431990694357385224?s=20 Promising Young Core I do believe that Avila

The Los Angeles Rams are must-watch TV in Detroit

By |August 29th, 2021|Categories: NFL|

The Los Angeles Rams became Notre Dame football for Detroit Lions fans. The Fighting Irish are a team Michigan and Michigan State fans take a peek at during the college football season. You watch because you hate. You watch because you admire. And you watch to see how your team stacks up. Rams games should be highly rated around Detroit after the 1 p.m. Sunday games because apparently, that

Jake Paul Is Good For The Sport of Boxing

By |August 28th, 2021|Categories: Uncategorized|

By: Eazy Baby Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley has been a polarizing topic in the combat sports community. Many have found the event to be a mockery of the sport of boxing. However after spending some time with both camps, as well with the coaches & fighters from the under card I think it's the opposite. You'd even hear that same sentiment echoed by the head trainer

Who will be RB3 for the Detroit Lions this season?

By |August 28th, 2021|Categories: NFL|

An NFL team's preseason record has no bearing on how they'll do in the regular season. The Detroit Lions proved that in 2008. However, the Lions did showcase things in their 27-17 loss to the Colts on Friday night, making the next several days very interesting in the Motor City. Like every NFL team, the Lions have until 4 p.m. on Tuesday to finalize their 53-man roster

By: Eazy Baby There are multiple ways to dress this boxing card as appetizing for the combat sports fanatic. Whether you agree or not that the card is loaded with "boxing" talent, the card provides talent none the less. Let's briefly unpack this one, & tell you, why you SHOULD watch Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley on Showtime PPV. Charles Conwell (-3300) vs Juan Carlos Rubio (+1200)

Miguel Cabrera has been trending towards retirement in recent months, sitting at age 38. Wednesday Miggy cemented his future plans. Stating "Two more years. That's it." By |August 25th, 2021|Categories: NFL|

Detroit Lions wide receiver Tyrell Williams and running back D'Andre Swift have one thing in common this training camp. And that's both have dealt with groin injuries––something that's hindering Williams currently. Despite that, the Lions expect him to be ready for Week 1 vs. the San Francisco 49ers at Ford Field. "He's got a little bit of a groin [injury] right now," Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told

By |August 24th, 2021|Categories: NBA|

Vegas just came out with the Detroit Piston's under-over for wins during the 2021-2022 season. Currently, Vegas has the Pistons at 25.5 wins for the season. Last season, the Pistons won 20 games, but ten games shortened the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is my prediction on the Piston's under and over wins for the season.  https://twitter.com/detnewsRodBeard/status/1429843646753411072?s=20 My prediction for the Pistons Over-Under Wins My prediction

Dan Campbell talks D’Andre Swift groin injury

By |August 24th, 2021|Categories: NFL|

There's yet to be a D'Andre Swift sighting this preseason. Heck, his participation in practice is even limited. And that's all due to a groin injury that he's been nursing throughout most training camp.  Over the last few practices, Swift appears to be moving better than before. The Lions' offense will need that as the first regular-season game in the new Lions era is on the horizon.
