Miguel Cabrera has been trending towards retirement in recent months, sitting at age 38. Wednesday Miggy cemented his future plans. Stating “Two more years. That’s it.”

Healing Old Wounds

It is to no surprise by Tigers fans that Cabrera is nearing the end. Being 38 years-old, Cabrera has a lot of wear and tear on his body. In an interview with Sage Steele of ESPN Cabrera said “I need to take care of this in the offseason and prepare myself for next season. I say two more years. I think that’s enough. I will be happy with 20 years in the big leagues if I can make it.”

Cabrera has been a staple to the Tigers organization with recently hitting his 500th homerun Sunday. MIggy is also 45 hits from joining elite company in the 3000 hit club.
