Lucasfilm Games has decided to revive a challenging but much-loved classic Super Nintendo game. Developer Dotemu and Lucasfilm Games will release enhanced versions of the 1993 Zombies Ate My Neighbors and its 1995 sequel Ghoul Patrol. Both games will come packaged in one $14.99 online bundle for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and GOG).
These classic titles star Zeke and Julie as they fight to save their neighborhood from horrifying, 16-bit creatures. Of course, the two come face-to-face with Zombies and Ghouls, but there are some more peculiar beasts to take down with your trusty water gun. Zeke and Julie must collect weapons and power-ups throughout each level to aid them in freeing their neighborhood from classic monsters. Along the way, they must rescue their clueless neighbors before they become monster food.
What are the enhancements?
Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol will sport crisper visuals and bring back 2-Player Mode. To make it easier for players to continue the games, we will have access to game saves. For completionists with an applicable console, the two games will also have achievements! Considering gamers will have 70+ levels of content, achievement/trophy hunters will have plenty of things to do.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors first landed on the scene through Konami
Konami published the original Zombies while the Japanese Victor Company (JVC) published Ghoul. LucasArts (Now LucasFilm Games) did not begin developing Ghoul Patrol as a sequel to Zombies Ate My Neighbors. With the same gameplay engine, there’s no reason not to consider the game a true sequel.
A physical edition is on the way
If a physical copy is more your style, Limited Run Games will release a physical edition. LRG announced on Twitter that they would release more details during their 2021 LRG3 show. You can tune in to the show on Monday, June 14th at 4 PM ET on their Twitch channel.
