What’s Next For Sterling? Interim Title Fight?

Although Yan is out for UFC 256 Sterling is ready to go.There is plenty of talent in the Bantamweight division, but who would be ready for a interim title show with less than 3 weeks notice? Sure, its a long shot, but I would love to see an interim title fight. The UFC will most likely press the pause button on the division until Yan comes back.

Playing UFC matchmaker though, I’d love to see Frankie Edgar get a crack at the interim title. After a phenomenal performance over Pedro Munhoz, Edgar is still a dominant force in the division. I’d also like to see a rematch between Cory Sandhagen and Aljamain Sterling for UFC 256, but considering the fight was pretty one sided with a Sterling submission win in the first round this fight probably won’t happen. It will be interesting to see what happens with not only UFC 256 but the Bantamweight division.
