Woodley: Nick Diaz Deserves To Be In UFC Hall Of Fame
Despite never winning a UFC belt, Woodley took to TMZ to make the statement and explain why Nick Diaz deserves to be in the UFC Hall Of Fame. Woodley (who will fight Colby Covington next Saturday at the UFC Apex) thinks Nick Diaz has done enough in his career to earn a spot in the Hall Of Fame.
Diaz Needs To Be In The UFC Hall Of Fame
Woodley makes some valuable points. Although Nick has never won a UFC title everyone knows the Diaz brothers. They both have brought so much attention to the world of MMA that it would be hard to deny them both a HOF spot. Seriously, Nick Diaz has been out for FIVE YEARS and look at how everyone is still talking about a return to the octagon. Regardless of how you feel about Nick and his trash talk or how he fights in the cage, the man is a great fighter that has a solid record to prove it. 26-9 with wins over B.J. Penn, Frank Shamrock, KJ Noons, Robbie Lawler and the list goes on. Those aren’t easy fights. Those are wars against veterans of the sport.
Sure, Nick Diaz has never won a UFC belt, but in my opinion the UFC HOF is dedicated to those who are in a league of their own. Nick Diaz is just a different breed of fighter. I mean, who LAYS ON THE GROUND ON PURPOSE during an Anderson Silva fight? Who goes punch for punch with Robbie Lawler? Who talks as much trash as Paul Daley and then knocks him out in the first round?! Nick Diaz.
