The Flyweights Deliver At UFC 255

Although it didn’t have the UFC’s biggest names on the card, it delivered a night full of action. Both flyweight champions retained their titles. Valentina Shevchenko defeated Jennifer Maia in a unanimous decision win. You could give Jennifer at least a moral victory as she survived all five rounds & even won the second round. Ultimately Valentina took home the victory.

In the main event Deiveson Figueiredo defeated Alex Perez in the first round via submission. Quick turnaround for the champ as he is already slated to fight Brandon Moreno at UFC 256 in approximately three weeks. Sure, that may seem like a quick turnaround, but both fighters had first round finishes & no injuries.

Fun fights all over the card from Mike Perry vs Tim Means, to Joaquin Buckley vs Jordan Wright. It was definitely one of those sleeper cards. Although on paper it may have seemed like a card without any big names it delivered.
