It was overall frustrating night for the Detroit Red Wings in what should’ve been an easy win after dominating the Arizona Coyotes for a fair share of the game. You get a two goal lead five minutes into the third period, only to come out with a point falling in a shootout. Not to mention vastly out shooting the opposition 40-23 on the night.

Detroit’s Captain Dylan Larkin voiced his frustrations after game, “We were up.. We should’ve won that game. We should’ve won that game 5-1. We outplayed them just mental errors and lapses that went into the back of our net.”

When asked about the loss being frustrating after playing so well against Toronto and Winnipeg, Larkin said “Tonight was frustrating. Columbus was frustrating. Going into Colorado some of the calls that went against us that was frustrating but we know what’s ahead of us, we know what we have to do.”

Red Wings “Pissed off” After Loss

Detroit Defensemen Jake Walman said himself along with many others were pissed after blowing their 3-1 lead within minutes.

“Its tough it takes a second to soak it all in.. I’m pissed off, a lot of guys are pissed off… We can’t be falling asleep like that.. Thats not  how you win games, When your up 3-1 you gotta bear down as a team. We’re not happy, we’re trying to be a great team, not just a good team.’

Red Wings’ head to Vegas to finish the road trip Thursday Night against Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights.
