The Detroit Red Wings dropped their third straight game after another frustrating 3-2 loss against the Florida Panthers. The game was much like their previous game against the Devils, but much closer down the stretch. Fantastic even strength play carried the Wings, but poor specials team play decided their fate.

Jonatan Berggren scored his sixth goal of the year just a minute in the game.  The Red Wings then let up three unanswered until late in third Robby Fabbri scored his first goal of the year that almost ignited a late comeback.

Detroit went 0-for-5 on the power-play, while allowing goals on both their penalty kill opportunities. The Red Wings had many good scoring chances throughout but like as of late, just haven’t had the puck luck. Detroit outshot the Panthers 31-20 and won the face-off battle 35-19.

Coach Lalonde spoke after the game saying “If we get any execution on our special teams.. not gonna go as far as saying it’s an easy win.. but it’s a winnable hockey game” Lalonde also gave praise to Florida Panthers Goalie Sergei BobrovskyI give him a ton of credit.. he stole the game. He was the first star, second star, third star.. He made every save
