New Bruin, Same Bertuzzi

Today was a highly anticipated day for Red Wings fans as they watched Tyler Bertuzzi, a beloved former player. Face off against his old team and even go head-to-head against his best friend, Dylan Larkin. While it may have been a bittersweet moment for some to see Bertuzzi in an opposing jersey, he proved that he fit in seamlessly with his new team. Bertuzzi was promoted to Boston’s top line for the day. Playing alongside David Krejci and David Pastrnak. Bruins Head Coach Jim Montgomery praised Bertuzzi’s gritty playing style. Highlighting how he chases pucks and battles down low, which is something that the line was lacking. Montgomery hoped that Bertuzzi’s extra boost of physicality would add to the already dangerous line. Meanwhile, Bertuzzi did not disappoint, delivering an impressive performance on the ice.
