Mo’ Seider makes NHL Top 50
After just one season in the NHL, Red Wing’s 20-year-old Calder Winner, Mo’ Seider has made the NHL’s Top 50. Seider played at a level in his rookie year that is almost unheard of for a defenseman, notching 7 goals and 43 assists for underperforming young team in Detroit. For Steve Yzerman to hit the jackpot on a player like Mo’ as well as Lucas Raymond ultimately speeds up this rebuild expediently, these were young players that stepped up to compete at a top line level aside Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi.

Year 2
Going into year 2 Mo’ I am confident he will be a Top 10 defenseman in the NHL with the upside to be the best in the league for years to come alongside Colorado star Cale Makar. This will be huge a year for Moritz to grow and learn under newly acquired veteran defenseman Ben Chiarot. Conversely, Ben was a veteran piece Detroit was desperately missing on the defensive end last year. I ultimately look for him to be a huge part for Seider’s growth and development as a player. Mike Rupp from the NHL Network took note on Mo Seider making this list ”I give him a ton of credit for cracking this list after just one year.”
