Former University of Michigan Fab 5 star Jalen Rose had some harsh words for the University of Michigan on his show “Jalen & Jacoby”.

You can tell when Jalen starts speaking he is thinking very hard how to phrase what he wants to say.

“Im gunna be 1 million percent real with you. Michigan should be ashamed that they haven’t honored the Fab 5 properly. But, hiring Juwan Howard — I let it go. Because I’m not into forcing somebody into a ‘relationship’ with me.”

If you listen to the clip, Jalen brings up the fact that NIL is now legal.  So any misdoings from the past would have now been considered fair play in the NCAA.

Jalen goes on to say “For them (University of Michigan) to continue to hold a grudge against the Fab 5 they way they have, It’s just whack.”

The hiring of Juwan Howard seems to at least calm the heat that Jalen Rose was bringing.  But you could see that this is something he has thought long and hard about.

U of M should honor the Fab 5.  Hell, they even had a 30 for 30 done on them!  No one I have ever talked to really puts an asterisk by any of their accomplishments.  Perhaps its because they never won a National Title and that buys them some leeway. But at a very minimum their banners should still hang in Crisler Arena.
