Henry Hasselbeck has picked up four crystal ball predictions from Justin Thind, Corey Robinson, Stephen Brooks, and Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports. Hasselbeck is the son of Matt Hasselbeck, who is a former NFL quarterback. Let’s take a look at both the projectile of Henry and the career of Matt.

Henry Hasselbeck

The 6-3 and 170-pound 3-star QB from Westwood, Maryland, took another visit during the week with his mom.

“I wanted my mom to meet everybody and see Michigan State for herself,” said Hasselbeck.

Hasselbeck originally visited Michigan State on the 2nd weekend of June. It appears he really enjoyed his time in East Lansing and wanted his mom to see the campus as well. Henry committed to play lacrosse at Maryland in December 2022. MSU was one of the first schools to show interest in Hasselbeck as a QB prospect. His sisters, Annabelle and Mallory, both played lacrosse at Boston College, and his father played QB at Boston College as well. Despite visiting Boston College the weekend after going to East Lansing, it was Michigan State he wanted to visit again. Along with playing goalie in ice hockey, Henry is a very versatile athlete, and that’s something the coaches at MSU like.

Matt Hasselbeck

Matt is an inductee in the Seahawks Ring of Honor and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers and also played for the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts. Overall, he threw for 36,638 yards and 212 touchdowns in his NFL career. His brother, Tim Hasselbeck, also played in the NFL and is a 2021 Boston College Hall of Fame Inductee. Both Matt and Tim played for Boston College, and they were both there for two years together. The Eagles run deep in the Hasselbeck family, and Matt met his wife at Boston College, where she played for the field hockey team there.

It will be interesting to see if Henry ultimately will sign with Michigan State. There’s a lot of work to be done with his development, but it would be cool to see Hasselbeck in green and white.
