Episode 5 of the Lippin’ Putts Podcast is out and it is an unexpectedly long one. Nick Leach and Sam Palmer kick off the show by recapping the Travelers Championship that saw Xander Schauffle secure his sixth PGA Tour win.

Lexi Thompson had a chance to capture her first major in eight years but her putting demons reared their ugly head yet again at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. The PGA Tour announced a thirteen-year agreement with the DP World Tour formerly known as the European Tour.

Sam believes the PGA Tour is moving in the right direction but wants more done for the younger “phenoms” of the game of golf. The LIV Golf Series makes its American debut this week when its kicks off at Pumpkin Ridge on Thursday. The PGA Tour has its worst field of the year head to the John Deere Classic which leads Nick and Sam to have some fun with their picks this week. Lastly, the show wraps up with some Michigan golf talk as the Michigan Amateur is taking place this week and Nick played a new course for the first time.
