If there was one play that put the Lions in the right mindset on Sunday, it was after the Jets failed to move the ball in their first offensive series and Kalif Raymond entered the scene. No better way to make a play like this in front of friends and family.

That was more than plenty to earn him the NFL Special Teams Player of the Week. His performance on Sunday earned him the game ball by Dan Campbell. Per Lions PR, He is Detroit’s 1st non-kicker to win a Special Teams POTW Award since 2017. With this award, the Lions now have 5 POTW awards in 2022, their most since 2016.

The versatile Raymond is one of three players in the NFL to return a punt return for a TD. He is currently ranked tenth in the NFL in total punt return yards with 248.
