Ultimate Fighter 14 Winner John Dodson has been released by the UFC. Sources close to the MMA veteran confirmed the news on Friday. In a statement from his Dodson’s manager, Ricky Kottenstette, he said Dodson is excited for the future.

“We are excited to see what other offers are out there for John. John is 100 percent committed to his fight career and he’s not diminished in his skill set whatsoever. John has fought the absolute best in the world in two weight classes and he’s still more than ready face elite competition. We look forward to talking to any and all promotions to find John the best home for his future.

Dodson has a MMA record of 21-12 (10-7 UFC) and has notable victories over T.J. Dillashaw, Jussier Formiga, and Pedro Munhoz. It will be interesting to see where Dogson lands next as he still as a lot of gas in the tank. Dodson in my opinion still has a lot of gas left in the tank and would do well in Bellator which is where I think he’ll sign next.
