Fantasy Football week 8 is here. Anson takes a look at the waiver wire claims you need to pick up!

And this week’s winners…  Odell Beckham, Kenyon Drake and Chris Carson owners. You’re the next contest on ‘Another Starter Down”! This week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire picks are gonna be fairly obvious with injuries to these three consensus fantasy starters. 2020…never a dull moment!

QUARTERBACKS

TUA TAGOVAILOA – MIA (Rookie)

You’re supposed to already have this guy on your squad already if you’re following my advice. If you had to address other positions and this kid’s still out there, now is the time. He’ll struggle…underneath his HUGE ceiling.

BAKER MAYFIELD – CLE

Call me crazy, but I think Baker is a better QB when Odell is off the field. He now has zero pressure to throw in any other direction than the one he wants to. I still believe in this kid and this could be the catalyst for a huge second half finish for Mr Mayfield.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Picks….Your week of waiting for Tua will pay off…I promise.

RUNNING BACKS

CHASE EDMONDS – ARI

This is my number one add across the board…but I really hope he’s not available in any of your leagues. That being said, I wouldn’t be do any of you any good if I didn’t mention YOU HAVE TO PICK UP CHASE EDMONDS IF HE IS AVAILABLE BRO!

CARLOS HYDE – SEA

15/68/1 is just a taste of what to come with Hyde carrying the pill for Seattle. He probably will get you next to nothing in terms of receiving points, but you can expect 75+ yards and 1+ touchdown each game we see him start. Another guy that honestly shouldn’t be available in competitive leagues.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Picks….3 Strong pickups. De’Andre Swift 9/27/1 & 4/21   B-
JaMycal Hasty 9/57 & 1/16    C
Boston Scott 12/46 & 3/46/1    B

WIDE RECEIVERS

DENZEL MIMS – NYJ (Rookie)

This week’s Pick for Stick, is the polarizing Denzel Mims. Listen, I fucking loved the profile on this guy coming out of Baylor. He got derailed with a pair of injury, but he returned this week and after injuries to Crowder in week 6 and Breshard Perriman in week 7, Mims finds himself returning to a WR1 workload on a team constantly playing behind.  If Crowders injury is serious, Mims is a fantasy starter for the rest of the way.

DIONTAE JOHNSON – PIT

Johnson was definitely dropped lots of league across the land after his leg injury cost him 3 weeks, and another lost to the BYE week. But he is back and he is the #1 receiver to own in Pittsburgh, no question. He did suffer another leg injury at the end of Sunday’s game, so keep your eye on twitter for the breadcrumbs. But even if he misses a week, he is the best receiver available on your free agent list if he’s still sitting there.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Picks….Production. Touchdown dependent production.

TIGHT END

TREY BURTON – IND

Ive repeated a player at each position this week. However, half of fantasy is timing. I cant tell you how many times I picked up and then dropped a guy after 1 week, only to see him explode on someone else’s roster. Burton had a big week lest week, but sat this week due to BYE. Someone might have cut him for a last minute add before sunday’s games. Make sure he isn’t available before you add any other TE’s.

RICHARD RODGERS – PHI

Lions fans will always have a fond place in their hearts for Rogers. Things could get fonder if you are able to pick up Rodgers and get some use out of him. Zach Ertz has hit the IR with backup Dallas Goedart. Week 8? Week 10? You never know in Philly, and Rodgers will get ALL the work in the meantime.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Picks….I hope you were diligent up to game time with Firkser as warned.
Trey Burton BYE   Inc Anthony Firkser 2/7   You better have sat him!
