Red Wings’ D-Core Coming up Huge

The defensemen for Detroit continued to step up on the offensive end. Filip Hronek had his first multi-goal game of his career meanwhile Moritz Seider is heating up with a 3 point night tallying 3 assists two of those coming on the power play. Ben Chiarot also scored his second goal of the year late in the 2nd period. The Red Wings defensive core has now scored six goals in the last two games.

Tyler Bertuzzi Bounces Back

Three games after returning from his injury, Tyler Bertuzzi has a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.  Bertuzzi scored his first goal of the year tonight also tallied an assist in the Red Wings win over the Blue Jackets. After a controversial play in overtime two games ago this should be a huge confidence booster moving forward for Bertuzzi. Just three games back you can see the chemistry sparking again between him and Lucas Raymond which is another positive takeaway from tonight’s game.
