Detroit Red Wings-Penguins Round 2
The Detroit Red Wings look to stay hot at home while the Pittsburgh Penguins roll into Little Caesars Arena trying to avenge a 6-2 loss in their last meeting.
The Penguins lineup looks nearly the same as it did last Tuesday. The Red Wings will field more of a veteran lineup as they continue to prep for the regular season. They look to continue to build on the momentum of a 3-0 shutout of the Blackhawks on Saturday night. Sebastian Cossa and Alex Nedeljkovic combined to stop 21 shots.
Fans will get to see the top line in full force, with Tyler Bertuzzi returning alongside Lucas Raymond and captain Dylan Larkin. They’ll also get a great look of our projected lower forward lines as well as the defensive pairs.

Skater to Watch: Bertuzzi is Back
Tyler Bertuzzi makes his preseason debut tonight, which makes him my skater to watch. Although the play of both Larkin and Raymond in Friday’s win was fantastic, the Wings need their top line to get as many reps together as possible before the regular season.
Bertuzzi is crucial for this line’s success. He scored 30 goals last year, setting the tone for this young group and showing how dangerous they can be as a unit.
The question for Tyler Bertuzzi hasn’t been his play, but his availability. This Detroit team will need Bertuzzi’s energy in the lineup night in and night out to be successful.
