Detroit Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell says he is aiming for a December return for ,First Round Pick, Jameson Williams.
On the Detroit Lions Radio network he said “I think we’re looking at December. If I’m trying to forecast here a little bit, I’m hoping sometime in December we get (Williams).”
“He needs some in-game experience, even if it’s only for a couple of games, two or three games. I think those are critical to get under his belt before next year if you can do it.”
Dan also addressed the potential to shut Williams down for the season.
“I think that would have to do with, we just don’t feel good about him physically. It’s just not worth the risk relative to where his rehab has come, which I don’t forecast that being an issue.”
The Detroit Lions offense has been the least of their concerns this year. Rushing back Jameson Williams does not make much sense. But, it would also be good for Jameson to get live NFL reps leading into next season where he can be a stand out WR1 for Detroit.
