This week, quarterback JJ McCarthy was named the starting quarterback this week after a strong performance against Hawaii. McCarthy was the subject of “Ermanni and Edwards with Maz “this week as McCarthy has the tenth highest odds to win the Heisman Award.
Former UCLA and Atlanta Falcons head coach Jim Mora Jr is at the helm for the Huskies. His defense is led by Jackson Mitchell, who leads all of Division I football with 39 tackles. On offense, running back Nate Carter has rushed for 384 yards on 59 carries, good for 6.5 yards average per game. At quarterback for UConn is freshman Zion Turner. So far this season, he is 40-for-70 for 373 years (4TD 3INT)
This should be another win for the Wolverines. The Huskies have given up over 400 yards on defense so far this season and have not beaten a Big Ten team since 2006, when they beat Indiana 14-7. They came with three points the last time these two teams played in 2013, with Michigan winning 24-21.
