Boon’s College Football Best Bets: Week 12
We are coming up on the last few weeks of the regular season of CFB and our Best Bets. But, things are just starting to heat up in the college football world. With there not being to many big time matchups on todays slate, it all sets up for week 13 and rivalry weekend where we will see some of the bigger matchups of the season. Last week, was one of the worst of the season sitting at 3-5 for the day. All together tho, we are still sitting in positive units with a few underdog wins.
Like mentioning before, next Saturday will be one of and if not the biggest Saturday of the college football regular season. With rivalry week on deck, this is the week where I believe you can find a lot of underdogs that will covers some spreads. Catching some of these teams on a look ahead week is going to happen. With only two top 25 matchups on the slate today, the PAC 12 still has some big games to be played late tonight. Lets win every bet today, and build on it going into rivalry week.
As always, below is the list of different picks I have. If you want winners, come back here every Saturday morning before you click submit on all of your CFB bets. I will dive into all the trends, data, stats, and matchups, so you don’t have to. Here we go. As always, bet responsibly and let’s have a day. Here are my Week 12 best bets:
Overall Record: 45-42-1
Last Week: 3-5
Boon’s Best Bet of Week 12: #4 TCU @ Baylor 12:00pm
Bet: Baylor +2.5
Another fishy line. And I love it. over 80% of the public is on TCU to cover this game. TCU coming off a huge win on the road vs. Texas and Baylor coming of a blowout loss to Kansas State. This screams a trap line after both of those games last week. The whole world wants to see TCU run the table and the whole world is betting on them today. In these type of spots is when I have found most of my winners this season. I’m not going against my system and I am responsibly hammering Baylor today. Now, I am not saying TCU will lose, but I think they are going to give TCU a run for there money and keep this one way closer than the public thinks.

Best Bets Dawg of the Week/Upset: #22 Oklahoma St. @ Oklahoma 7:30pm
Bet: #22 Oklahoma State +7.5/ML +245
This is such an ugly game that I felt like I had to put this on the card as a Dawg. Usually every year this matchup is one of the best of the year. This season, both of these teams have been dropping games left and right within the last few weeks. Even on the road today, I still believe that Oklahoma State is the better team. Oklahoma is coming off two tough close losses to Baylor and West Virginia. I can’t see this game being a blowout, and believe this game will come down to the last 2 minutes. Getting Oklahoma St. at +7.5 is a steal.

Overs Play of The Week: Virginia Tech @ Liberty 12:00pm
Bet: Over 46.5
There are a few overs on the slate in CFB today that I loved. I actually put two other games in this slot before I landed on Virginia Tech vs. Liberty. I typically would have stayed away from this game being Virginia Tech only averages 19 PPG. But, the total is set way too low at 46.5 I would have this game at least above 50 points. Liberty is coming off of a tough loss vs. UCONN last weekend and I think will bounce back and put up 40 points on their own to show just how good they really are.
Under Play of The Week: Colorado State @ Air Force 9:00pm
Bet: Under 42.5
Heading out to the Mountain West conference with this play. With what might be one of the lowest scoring games of the day, getting 42 points is a gift. Colorado State is only scoring a massive 13 PPG and giving up almost 30 PPG. This is a game where Air Force can win 27-10 and sneak out with an easy win. With this being on at the same time slot as the PA 12 games, this is the perfect game to root for no points and not have to watch and cash an easy winner.
BIG TEN Best Bets Play: #2 Ohio State @ Maryland 3:30pm
Bet: Maryland +27.5
Back to back weeks you can catch me fading Ohio State. Last week Indiana missed the cover by 1 point at the end. A lot of the public will probably be sitting on Ohio State, but we’re fading them again. I have been searching for some major look ahead games with big lines and this game was the first that I found. Maryland is coming off a 2 game road trip where they went 0-2. They are looking to put something together at home today. This season Maryland is 4-1 at home with the one loss being by 2 points. I believe they will be a fight up, and Ohio State is just going to be thinking about the big game next week.
Super Conference Play: #7 USC @ #16 UCLA 8:00pm
Bet: #16 UCLA +2.5
This may be the biggest game on the whole CFB slate. USC is pushing to get into the CFB playoffs, while UCLA is trying to make the statement that they are one of the best team in the PAC 12. I struggled picking a side in this game, but with them playing at the Rose Bowl, I think UCLA edges this one out. The one ranked matchup that USC has ran into so far this year, they dropped vs. Utah by 1 point. This is the start of a huge challenge for USC and I think UCLA ends their chances early. The line is a bit fishy to me, if USC was as good as we are all saying I think they would be sitting at a 5 or 6 point favorite even on the road.

Final Week 12 Best Bets Bonus Play: #10 Utah @ #12 Oregon 10:30pm
Bet: Over 60.5
I wanted to pick a side here, and wanted to roll with Oregon at home. But, it has been in the air the Bo Nix may be battling with some sort of injury and the public is waiting to hear what that is. I couldn’t find myself not handing out a winner in this top 15 matchup so I decided to roll with over 60.5. Even if some reason Bo Nix is out, both of these teams are going to find a way to score. Utah averages about 40 PPG while Oregon averages 42 PPG. This game is going to turn into a shootout in Eugene. So far every conference ranked team that either of these two teams have played have gone over 60 points with ease. Lets end todays CFB slate on a win.
