Boon’s Best NCAA Football Bets: Week 8

Week 8 of College Football and I am bringing to you all my top best bets for today’s College Football slate. Last week, we came out of Saturday with a 4-4 record. Considering the stacked slate of games, week 7 had, I am glad we were able to come out even. We are sitting at just above .500 on the season so far.

Today’s games obviously as a whole are not as good as last Saturday. But, we still have a full day of games, and a few games that the whole country will be tuning into. As always, I am going to try and find my favorite bets in some of the bigger games, so you are able to tune in and bet those games. A man of the people. We are just one big week away, from getting into positive units for the season as a whole.

As always, below is the list of different picks I have. If you want winners, come back here every Saturday morning before you click submit on all of your college football bets. I will dive into all the trends, data, stats, and matchups, so you don’t have to. Here we go. As always, bet responsibly and Let’s have a day. Here are my Week 8 best bets:

Overall Record: 28-28-1

Last Week: 4-4

Boon’s Best Bet of Week 8: #7 Ole Miss @ LSU   3:30pm

Bet: LSU ML

Best bet time. I feel like the whole country is backing me on this pick, but looking at the books, it looks like the money is on Ole Miss. and that is what we love to see. Seeing a top 10 ranked team as an underdog, I think we have no choice but to take the home team. If we are just calling it how it is, Ole Miss hasn’t touched a tough opponent this season. Their best win is vs. #19 Kentucky who is sitting there with 2 losses, and they probably should have lost that game. On the other hand, Death Valley is probably the toughest place to play in the country. We saw Tennessee go into Death Valley 2 weeks ago and blow out LSU. I promise, we won’t see that happen again in Death Valley this season. LSU should win this game, and quiet all the Ole Miss backers. Book it.

Dog of the Week/Upset: BYU @ Liberty 3:30pm

Bet: Liberty +7/+215 ML

This may be one of my favorite plays of the day. I have been really high on BYU to start the season. Slowly, I have tried to go away from touching any of their games. But today, we’re fading them. BYU coming off of two straight losses to Arkansas and Notre Dame. While Liberty is 6-1 and has yet to lose at home. Now, Liberty’s only loss came to #13 ranked Wake Forest, which they lost 37-36. This game is going to be an absolute dog fight down to them end. I would not be surprised if this Liberty team pulls off an upset over BYU.

Overs Play of The Week: Washington @ California 10:30pm

Bet: Over 54

The latest game on the whole slate. By this time you will either be sleeping or out at a bar somewhere with your friends. I will be glued to the TV, praying for points in this game. Washington is currently 6-0-1 on the over this season. They are currently averaging over 40 PPG this season. And as a college football fan in the state of Michigan, we all witnessed their offense vs. Michigan State. On the other end, they do give up almost 30 PPG as well, which has kept teams in the game vs. them. I love these overs play this week.

Under Play of The Week: Hawai’i @ Colorado State 4:00pm

Bet: Under 46.5

When you look at this matchup, it is hard just not to laugh and think you definitely will not be tuning in. I know I said I like to give games out that the people will be watching and tuned into, but I can’t pass up a winner. These two teams are statistically two of the worst over teams in college football right now. Colorado St. is 0-6 on the over, while Hawai’i is sitting at 2-5 on the over. Both of these teams do give up a ton of points on defense, but on the other side of the ball, neither team can score. This may be a battle of two teams fighting to see who has the worst offense in the country.

BIG TEN Play: Purdue @ Wisconsin 3:30pm

Bet: Over 51.5

This was an interesting Big Ten play to throw out. To average teams (in my opinion) looking to see some points get thrown up on the board. But, with this game, one thing really stood out to me, which is both of these teams are combined 10-4 on the over this season, each team being 5-2. Both of these teams are scoring over 30 PPG, and both are giving up over 20 PPG. I think this game ends up actually being around 60 points.

Super Conference Play: #9 UCLA @ #10 Oregon 3:30pm

Bet: #9 UCLA +7

Alright, if you haven’t noticed, the super conference play section is probably my second favorite bet, just behind my best bet of the day. Taking a top 25 matchup and finding a winner is thrilling. I absolutely love this play. I may throw that around way too much, but I truly love it. Chip Kelly makes his return to Oregon in a thrilling top 10 matchup. Oregon is a touchdown favorite in this matchup, which is absolutely insane to me. This UCLA team has been the best all around team in the PAC 12 this season. Averaging over 40 PPG, there really hasn’t been a team that has been able to slow them down. I can’t see this Oregon team doing that today. UCLA coming off two straight ranked wins vs. Utah and Washington. I believe they easily cover this spread and may even win this game.

Final Week 7 Best Bets Bonus Play: #14 Syracuse @ #5 Clemson

Bet: #14 Syracuse +14.5

This was a brutal bonus play to pick from with a bit of a down slate. But this Syracuse line was on my list to start the week if it ever got to 14.5 and as I was putting these in, and it got there. Even Friday morning, on the Morning Woodward show, Adham had thrown this pick out as one of his best bets for the weekend and I had no choice at that point but to back him and confirm this on my card. Yes, I know Clemson is being looked at as a dominate force right now that everyone believes will make the CFB playoff. But this is going to be one of their toughest tests of the season. There is no way, in my eyes, that Syracuse wins this game, but I do believe they will give Clemson a run for their money and keep it a one possession game down to the stretch.
