Boon’s College Football Best Bets: Week 10

Moving forward, we are not going to have anymore Saturdays below .500 with today’s best bets. It is officially week 10 of College Football, and man do we have some unbelievable games all day long. Last week was less than ideal, going 3-4, but we were all so focused on the Michigan vs. Michigan State game. It is a new week, and a perfect Saturday to make some money in College Football with my best bets.

There might not be any huge BIG Ten matchups today, but around College Football we might a have a game of the year with #1 Tennessee going on the road to #3 Georgia. This is basically the closest thing that we will get to a College Football playoff game in the regular season. I have a few bets that I absolutely love in today’s slate to bounce back from a nasty 3-4 week.

As always, below is the list of different picks I have. If you want winners, come back here every Saturday morning before you click submit on all of your college football bets. I will dive into all the trends, data, stats, and matchups, so you don’t have to. Here we go. As always, bet responsibly and let’s have a day. Here are my Week 10 best bets:

Overall Record: 37-34-1

Last Week: 3-4

Boon’s Best Bet of Week 10: #1 Tennessee @ #3 Georgia  3:30 pm

Bet: #1 Tennessee +9

This might end up being the game of the regular season. We are getting a treat with basically a College Football playoff matchup in week 10. Even on the road, it is hard for me not to take 9 points with Tennessee. I am a firm believer that this Tennessee team is the best team in the country right now, and their offense is comparable to the LSU national championship offense we saw a few years ago. Hendon Hooker is looking to make a statement in the Heisman race, and I think he will do that today. Don’t be surprised if Tennessee wins the game outright at +220.

Best Bets Dog of the Week/Upset: #4 Clemson @ Notre Dame  7:30 pm

Bet: Notre Dame +4 / ML +150

Just as confident as I am in Tennessee being the best team in the country, I am even more confident that Clemson may be the most overrated team in the top 5 right now. Clemson should have lost 2 weeks ago vs. Syracuse, and they slipped out with a win. There hasn’t been a game all season that makes me believe this is a great team. On the other side, we know Notre Dame hasn’t been great, but they just beat that same Syracuse team by 17 points on the road. This team is starting to come together late into the season, and don’t be surprised if you see the same defense we saw week 1 vs. Ohio State.

Overs Play of The Week: MTSU @ Louisiana Tech 3:00pm

Bet: Over 63.5

Not many of you are probably going to have this game on today. But, this is going to be a high scoring shootout. Louisiana Tech is 7-1 on this season on the over. Their last two week (both OT games) there has been a total of around 77 points per game. Both of these teams are giving up 39 PPG and 29 PPG so far this season, don’t be surprised if we see over 70 points easily in this matchup.

Under Play of The Week: Georgia Tech @ Virginia Tech 12:30 pm

Bet: Under 40.5

Just like the overs play, I have just switched from playing top 25 teams in these spots, to just handing out winners. An ugly game, but this game is going to make us some money. Both of these teams are combines a 3-12-1 on there overs this season and not even cracking scoring 20 PPG. Just two bad teams going head-to-head. The perfect game to not root for points on.

BIG TEN Best Bets Play: #2 Ohio State @ Northwestern 12:00 pm

Bet: Over 55.5

I feel like there is something with this total that I am missing. Ohio State has hit this total mark in 7 of their 8 games so far this season. As soon as I saw this number, I had to hammer it. A game against a bad Northwestern (worst in the Big Ten) I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ohio State put up 60 points on them today. Even if we don’t hit 60, Northwestern should be able to get us a TD to get over the mark. This is the only time I will want points from Ohio State.

Super Conference Play: #21 Wake Forest @ #22 NC State 8:00 pm

Bet: #22 NC State +3.5

A top 25 matchup where the home team is a dawg. Give me the dawg. Some sharps or bettors might look at this, and quickly hit the Wake Forest side, seeing a road favorite. I’m not everyone. I love this game, and love the spot NC State is in to win this game outright. This team has yet to loss a game at home, and I don’t see them losing at home today. I think the home crowd is the difference in this matchup, and push NC state over the edge.

Final Week 10 Best Bets Bonus Play: #19 Tulane @ Tulsa  12:00 pm

Bet: #19 Tulane -6.5

Some may ask why I am putting the Tulane Green Wave in my best bets. Little did you know, this is one of the best cover teams in College Football right now. Tulane is currently 7-1 against the spread on the season, the only other team to be that good against the spread, Tennessee. Depending on what sports book you are using, you should be able to get them at 6.5 the perfect touchdown spread. Even on the road, I think this Tulane dominates a 3-5 Tulsa team that is coming off a home loss by 11 points. Let’s win every bet.
