Sip, Cheer, Repeat.
This summer, cheer on the Detroit Tigers while sipping on a refreshing new brew. Detroit’s Atwater Brewery presents D Light, a light-bodied craft beer created exclusively for Comerica Park. With only 95 calories and a 4.1% ABV, D Light promises maximum refreshment at every game. Atwater’s President, Katy McBrady, says there’s no better way to celebrate summer in the city than enjoying a Tigers game with an ice-cold D Light in hand.
Supporting the Detroit Tigers Foundation
For each D Light purchased at Comerica Park, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Detroit Tigers Foundation. This official charity of the Detroit Tigers strives to enhance the lives of Metro Detroit children through America’s favorite pastime.
Celebrate the Launch with a Legend
Mark your calendars for March 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., when Atwater Brewery will host a release party at their Detroit Tap House location. Enjoy the new light craft beer for just $5 a pint, and meet former Detroit Tigers pitcher Dave Rozema, who will be available for pictures and autographs.
The Detroit Tap House is located at 237 Joseph Campau Ave, Detroit, MI 48207.
Atwater Brewery’s Trailblazing President
Katy McBrady, president of Atwater Brewery, took an unconventional path to the beer business. She started by promoting Bud Light Limes in bars, which led to a sales job interview and eventually a successful career in the industry. From becoming a certified cicerone to running a craft beer label in California, McBrady has always been passionate about representing her city through beer. In her first year at Atwater, she has led bar renovations, expanded the brand, and championed opportunities for women in the male-dominated beverage industry. On International Women’s Day, Atwater’s iconic mascot even transformed from an Atwater Man to an Atwater Lady.
