The big question during the offseason has been Michigan State’s wide receiver room. Alante Brown adds more depth to the wide receiver room following his transfer from Nebraska to East Lansing.

Alante Brown’s Breakdown

This isn’t the first time that Alante Brown has committed to Michigan State. Back in 2019, Brown committed to MSU as a high school prospect, and now once again he has made that same decision. Brown chose the green and white over 20 other schools, including Colorado.

According to 247 Sports, Brown is a three-star WR transfer who played all 12 games for the Cornhuskers last season, recording 191 yards on 16 catches. Former head coach Scott Frost said that Brown had the fastest forty-yard dash time on the squad. Brown has great speed and the ability to use gadgets with versatility. A lot of short routes are where he thrives and gets creative for MSU.

Alante Brown Outlook on Roster

The potential is that both Tyrell Henry and Alante Brown can start at receiver. Henry has the deep-threat ability, and Brown is a YAC WR that can fool defenses with that sort of combination.

Michigan State desperately needs WR help, and Brown adds that to this team with experience as well. There are plenty of targets that are open for MSU and are expected to be spread around with the loss of Keon Coleman.
