Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer will have new modes, new maps, new games, and a brand new killstreak system. Activision dropped the new multiplayer trailer today, and it looks insane.
New Maps, New Modes, and New Games
COD Black Ops Cold War drops in November, but thanks to polygon.com we now have a ton of new details! COD Cold War multiplayer will be set in the Cold War era, just a couple years after the campaign. The new COD Black Ops series will also be the first COD to arrive for Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X. It will also carry the ability to offer cross play, which means your friends won’t have to fight over which console is better. COD Black Ops Cold War will also feature “cross-progression” which means your Warzone rank will carry over to Cold War. Thank god. You’ll also be able to use almost all of the items you’ve worked hard to unlock in Warzone and transfer them over to Cold War.
Killstreaks vs Scorestreaks
One of the biggest changes is the switch from killstreaks to scorestreaks. In COD Black Ops Cold War you get to keep your streak going even after you die with a new system that is based on points. Of course, it isn’t all that easy though considering the new COD streak requirements are a little harder to achieve compared to killstreaks. Either way, change is good and we’re looking forward to the new challenge and can’t wait to get our hands on this game.
