Rediscover the magical world of Final Fantasy VII on mobile
The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII hit the scene to mixed reception back in the day, but the over-abundance of FF7 content was perfect for me. Square Enix is looking to grace compilation again, though this time it's in an unexpected format – mobile devices. That's right! In 2022, Square Enix will release two mobile games on Android and iOS. As much as I'd like these games
Three Detroit Lions make top NFL free agent list
The NFL offseason is officially underway, NFL.com released a list Monday morning of the league's top 101 free agents; featuring three Detroit Lions players who could soon be out. Around The NFL editor, Gregg Rosenthal listed Kenny Golladay (15), Romeo Okwara (31), and Marvin Jones (57) as options teams will target once free agency begins. Golladay, 27, is ranked ahead of Okwara, and Jones shouldn't be a shocker to
Looking at Every New NBA Earned Jersey Pt. 1
The NBA-Nike deal brought about the NBA's Earned Jerseys. Each team that made the playoffs in the Eastern and Western Conference gets a special-edition jersey. These threads commemorate the accomplishments (or lack thereof *cough* Clippers *cough*). This year's jerseys have been leaked courtesy of UniSwag. Let's begin by taking a look at four of these uniforms from the Eastern Conference... First, the Brooklyn Nets Jersey I like the
NFL, Disney agree on new rights deal
Despite conflicting information from various news sources, reports surfaced Friday afternoon that Disney and the NFL reached a tentative agreement that renews ESPN's deal broadcasting Monday Night Football and the Super Bowl returning to ABC. John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal was the first to report the news. According to his report, ABC will return to the Super Bowl rotation for the first time since 2006.
Fan rejoice! Dragon Age 4 multiplayer is no more
Well, so much for the 'danger' of Anthem's cancellation that I reported. After video game companies and fans-alike poured their hearts out in support of BioWare, EA has canceled Anthem 2.0. The game suffered problems at launch and beyond, so EA put a team on the game to overhaul it. Unfortunately, a host of terrible circumstances weighed the team down. What hurt most was the team meant
Report predicts Lions to release Desmond Trufant
The Detroit Lions signing Desmond Trufant was a mistake from the beginning. And after a season of barely playing and underwhelming health, his time in the Motor City might be nearing its end. With the NFL offseason is officially underway, Pro Football Focus released a report predicting roster cut candidates for all 32 NFL teams. When it came to the Lions, they suggested that Trufant will become
Final Fantasy XVI needs to avoid the mistakes of FFXV
A lot is riding on Final Fantasy XVI, from my perspective. As a longtime fan, I believe Square-Enix has stumbled quite far from its glory days. Final Fantasy is a series that embodies the storytelling medium, serving up multiple worlds per title and entire hosts of protagonists and villains to celebrate. Though the series has plenty of competition, its past is nigh untouchable. So, why am I
Michigan, Northwestern honor Big Ten’s first Black football player with new trophy
Michigan and Northwestern made college football history Thursday morning, announcing the George Jewett Trophy. It will be the first rivalry game trophy named after an African-American football player in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) history. Jewett is the perfect person to hold this honor, as his name is synonymous with both universities. Jewett was the first African American to play football at Michigan and Northwestern. Along with that,
The Super Bowl’s Minimalism: Not Good
The Super Bowl is synonymous with extravagance. Massive crowds, tickets the price of a small mortgage, big rings, and the shiny trophy. For years, this egregiously “over-the-top”-ness was reflected in the branding. Source: New England Patriots The Super Bowl: The Best Logo in Sports For years, each Super Bowl logo was customized for the host city. The logos peaked from Super Bowl 27 to SB 49. Super
Detroit Pistons Matchups to Look Out For Post-ASG
The Detroit Pistons released their second-half schedule today. At this point, it is obvious Detroit isn't contending. The team is last in the Eastern Conference. However, there are plenty of good matchups to test the young squad and give us a glimpse of the future in the Motor City. Brooklyn Nets (March 13, March 26) Source: Jesse D. Feast your eyes on Blizzard’s Diablo II: Resurrected
Blizzard Activation's Blizzcon 2021 provided much news about our favorite franchises. No announcement from Blizzcon excited me as much as Diablo news. To be more specific, the fan-favorite game Diablo II will get the remaster treatment with Diablo II: Resurrected. I talked about this earlier this month, but it's nice to have an official word! Many remember Blizzard's last remaster attempt, Warcraft III: Reforged. Well, I'm here
Play At Home – Sony Gives The Free Goods To PS4/PS5 Owners
Covid lockdowns have you down? Well, PlayStation is looking to remedy that. Last April, Sony launched the Play At Home initiative. They offered the Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free, helping gamers find sanity in a trying time. Users in Germany and China received Knack 2 instead of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The initiative is making a comeback this year. Starting on March 1, Ratchet
