Pistons lose big to shorthanded Cavs 112-88
On Friday the Pistons were at home facing the Cavaliers without Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell. Normally, that type of opportunity is one that teams would try to capitalize. For Detroit, however, that opportunity was never in reach, as the Pistons fell to Cleveland 112-88. When looking for reasons as to why Detroit lost this game by so big, it does not take long to see why.
Nike splits with Kyrie Irving amid anti-Semitism fallout
By TIM REYNOLDS AP Basketball Writer Nike parts ways with Kyrie Irving. The shoe giant announced Friday night that it will halt its relationship with the Brooklyn guard, who has been suspended by the Nets for what the team called a repeated failure to “unequivocally say he has no antisemitic beliefs.” The Nets made that move Thursday, and a day later, Nike made its decision as well.

While it's a huge loss for Detroit, the coaching staff firmly believes it was the right decision and will open up an opportunity for other players to get their shot. The players they are referring to are Brock Wright and James Mitchell. Brock Wright is a second-year tight end who came to
The Cleveland Cavaliers Rebuild Racing Past the Detroit Pistons’
As the Cavs roll into town, there's one question on my mind: Can the Detroit Pistons have similar rebuild success as the Cleveland Cavaliers? The Cavs enter the game as one of the best in the East led by Donovan Mitchell's 31 points and 7 assist per game. His addition in the off-season has seemed to solidify the teams rise from a season ago. Cade Cunningham comes
Detroit Pistons: 3 good things from 2-7 start
The Detroit Pistons have not come out of the gates strong to open up the 2022-23 season. After winning the opener against the Orlando Magic, the Pistons went on a five-game losing streak. Sitting at 2-7, the team has five losses by a 20-point margin or more, including Wednesday night's 116-91 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Detroit's struggles have been on display throughout the first nine games
Michigan Should Dagger Scarlet Knights
The No. 5 ranked Michigan Wolverines are looking to earn as many style points as they can the next two weeks. And they shouldn’t have any issues earning plenty against Rutgers this Saturday. These aren’t your father’s Greg Schiano Rutgers teams. The Scarlet Knights (4-4, 1-4) have been pretty bad in Big Ten play this season, with their lone win coming at home against Indiana. Rutgers has

Kyrie Irving has $500k returned by Anti-Defamation League
The Anti-Defamation League doesn't want Kyrie Irving donating money. On Thursday the organization returned the "donation" made by the Nets PG. The CEO of the The Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt had this to say about Kyrie Irving. "We were optimistic," Greenblatt said, "but after watching the debacle of a press conference, it’s clear that Kyrie feels no accountability for his actions." There are many video floating around
Mike Tyson Almost KO’d by Tony Hawk (video)
I love Mike Tyson. Let me just start out by saying that. I even have a cat named after him, because my cat is a fighter. I own Tyson gloves, shorts and a signed punch out pic that I have framed in my man cave. To me, Mike has always been a misunderstood nice guy. Does he have the proverbial "Dog" in him? You're damn right. But
Justin Verlander finally gets World Series win
By RONALD BLUM AP Baseball Writer PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Justin Verlander beamed like a first-time big leaguer. The Houston Astros feted the 244-game winner like a baby-faced rookie. “They put me in the cart and rolled me in the shower and just doused me with all sorts of stuff," he said. "And it was one of the best feelings in my career.” After 16 years of trying,
