Williams Returns After 30 Second KO In November
Detroit native Khaos Williams is set to return to the octagon 19 days after knocking out Abdul Razak Alhassan in 30 seconds. Williams will face Michel Pereira on December 19th at UFC Vegas 17. Williams vs Pereira will headline the UFC Vegas 7 prelims live on ESPN+.
Pereira Is A Big Step Up In Competition For The Ox Fighter
Sure, Pereira isn’t in the top 15 rankings in the Welterweight division, but he’s a step up in competition for Williams. Pereira holds a record of 24-11 with 10 wins by KO and 7 by submission. A victory over Pereira would be big for Khaos, but it’s more important how the fight ends. If Williams comes in and knocks out a veteran like a Pereira it will prove he’s a serious problem in the Welterweight division and worth of a top 15 opponent.
Pereira is known for his unorthodox style, but he should probably stay focused in this bout. If Khaos gets the knockout victory it will be his third in 2020. Williams is 11-1 in his MMA career with 6 wins by KO and 1 by submission. Although I don’t see this fight going the distance in reality either fighter can get the knockout win. I’m excited for this bout which just adds more star power to an already stacked card. Here’s how the rest of the UFC Vegas 17 card is looking…
