McGregor announced his retirement on Twitter in June 2020, and almost every week since then there’s been rumors of his return. On Thursday both the UFC president and McGregor’s agent hinted at a UFC return for the Irish fighter. Here’s what Dana White had to say on ESPN…
“We’re actually working on some fun stuff for Conor at the beginning of next year. He should be back next year. I’m not saying he’s coming back to fight, guaranteed, but we’re talking right now about some stuff.”

So he’s retired, but he is coming back, but White is not saying he’s coming back to fight, but there talking right now? Got it. Makes perfect sense. Here’s what McGregor’s agent Audie Attar had to say regarding a potential McGregor return…
“We had some very interesting talks with the UFC recently. We are excited about the future and working on some fun things. Exciting things to come in the near future.”

You can’t deny the true start power that Conor holds and lets be honest, the UFC could really use him right now. Sure, there’s no gate money right now, but the PPV is still there for McGregor to dominate. We all have no idea when this pandemic is going to end, so the UFC mind as well keep moving forward and book McGregor in early 2021. I’m thinking Conor McGregor vs Nick Diaz…
