Week 3 of the NFL season was full of fantasy football excitement, disappointment, and everything in between. There were also plenty of injuries, and fantasy teams are certainly looking to either find replacements or just upside bench depth. Here are 5 players on the fantasy radar as waiver wire pickups for Week 4 (percentages according to ESPN):

RB Jamaal Williams (DET) – 44% Rostered

Lions running back D’Andre Swift was already limited with an ankle injury, but he could now miss a little bit of time due to a shoulder strain. Jamaal Williams is the next man up, and he had a good performance in Week 3. Williams nearly ran for 100 yards while also getting two touchdowns. He has been pretty reliable for the most part and would continue getting the bulk of the workload without Swift. He is rostered in most leagues, so claim him while you still can. Williams should be one of the top waiver wire pickups not only for this week, but for as long as Swift remains absent.

RB Khalil Herbert (CHI) – 25% Rostered

Starter David Montgomery exited the game with an ankle and knee injury in Chicago’s Week 3 win against the Texans. While he is considered day-to-day, he will likely miss time. Herbert looked good in relief of Montgomery, racking up 157 rushing yards and two touchdowns. If he gets the opportunity to lead the backfield, then he would be a great fantasy asset to own. The Bears offense is run-heavy, so Herbert is a nice add in the meantime and even when Montgomery returns.

RB Alexander Mattison (MIN) – 37% Rostered

Let’s make it a trio of NFC North running backs that are top waiver wire pickups. Mattison has been a top fantasy handcuff in recent years due to the injury history of Dalvin Cook. Well, Cook dislocated his shoulder on Sunday against the Lions, an injury that he is familiar with. Cook is labeled as “day-to-day” and will be monitored throughout the week. However, if Cook were to miss any time, Mattison would instantly become a must-start. If you are lucky enough to find him on waivers, pick him up ASAP. Mattison has proven in the past that he can produce to the level of Cook if given the workload. Fantasy managers will be going to the Mattison well once again in 2022.

WR Romeo Doubs (GB) – 16% Rostered

Welcome to the NFL, Romeo Doubs! He rookie shined in Green Bay’s win against the Buccaneers. He caught all eight of his targets, amounting 73 yards and a touchdown. It is a pretty solid stat line considering the final score was 14-12. On a team devoid of star weapons, Doubs has emerged as a top option for Aaron Rodgers. The sky is the limit for the rookie, who many draft experts called him a Day 3 steal. He is available in most leagues and is worth the waiver claim, similarly to Garrett Wilson last week. Expect the rookie to keep shining if given an increase in targets.

WR Greg Dortch (ARI) – 7% Rostered

If you do not know Greg Dortch, then learn to know the name. The Cardinals WR has 10+ PPR fantasy points in all three games this season. In Week 3 against LA, Dortch had season highs in targets (10), receptions (9), and yards (80). He is producing in fantasy without the touchdowns. Albeit, he is having success due to the absences of WRs A.J. Green, Rondale Moore, and DeAndre Hopkins on the field, but let’s not ruin the moment. Dortch is a startable fantasy option and certainly worth the roster add. Hop on the bandwagon while you still can.
