A key match up in the UFC Women’s Strawweight division has been postponed. Michelle Waterson has pulled out of her fight against Amanda Ribas scheduled for UFC 257. Waterson’s camp has not specified as to why the #7 ranked Strawweight has pulled out, but Ribas is now in search of an opponent for UFC 257.

Waterson Should Give Hill Rematch In 2021

Michelle Waterson vs Angela Hill is one of my personal favorite fights of 2020, and Hill deserves the rematch. Amanda Ribas is on the come up after wins over Mackenzie Dern and Randa Markos, but there is other Strawweights she can face while Waterson gives Hill another shot. The fight was so close and Hill has been robbed so many times. This isn’t coming from a fan perspective either, it’s simply facts. Waterson and Hill are out of their upcoming bouts, so why not book them for the rematch in Spring 2021? Sure, a lot can change between now and Spring, but Hill deserves the rematch and Ribas has to find a new opponent.
