In Week 17, Brandon Graham reached a milestone for the first time in his 13-year career. The former Wolverine star and current defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles, Graham took down Andy Dalton on Sunday to reach double-digit sacks.

He currently has 11 total sacks on the season, good for 13th in the NFL.

Despite coming off a significant injury, Brandon Graham is having an impressive season. Furthermore, he has earned the title of NFC Defensive Player of the Week twice in his 13th season. This is a feat that no Eagles player has accomplished in nearly 30 years. Previously, in a game against the Giants at MetLife Stadium, Graham collected three sacks and a forced fumble, earning him the award for the second time this season.

Brandon Graham previously won the award in Week 3 in a win against the Washington Commanders. This came after recording 2.5 sacks, six tackles, five quarterback hits, a pass defended, and a forced fumble.

In addition to his individual achievements, Graham has contributed to the Eagles making history. The team has four players on their roster with double-digit sack totals, which is a feat that has never been achieved in the NFL since sacks have been recorded. Graham is joined by teammates Hasson Reddick, Javon Hargrave, and Josh Sweat in achieving this milestone.

Brandon Graham’s Week 3 award as NFC Defensive Player of the Week is the eighth time that an Eagles player has received a weekly conference award. Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Eagles, has won the award for Offensive Player of the Week twice. The NFC has named cornerback Darius Slay and linebacker Haason Reddick as Defensive Players of the Week, and cornerback Zech McPhearson and former Eagles kicker Cameron Dicker have received the award for NFC Special Teams Players of the Week.

Brandon Graham is highly respected in both the State of Michigan and throughout the NFL. He is currently the Eagles nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

In the 2010 draft, Philly moved up to snag Graham with the 13th overall pick. Since then, he has appeared in 183 games with 110 starts for the Eagles, including seven playoff games. The NFL recognized Brandon Graham as a Second-Team All-Pro in 2016 and added him to the Pro Bowl roster in 2020. Graham is also famously known for making the most famous strip sack in Super Bowl history. This came against fellow Wolverine alum, Tom Brady.
