UFC 256 Helps The Organization Go Out With A Bang
UFC 256 takes place at the UFC Apex on Saturday December 12th. With a quick turnaround the flyweight men’s title is on the line as Deiveson Figueiredo defends his belt less than a month after defeating Alex Perez. Brandon Moreno was on the same UFC 255 card & had a quick first round finish to land him this title shot. I believe Figueiredo is a dominant champion in that division & I don’t see anyone beating him anytime soon & therefore I see the champion getting his hands raised once again.
In the co-main event Tony Ferguson returns after his loss to Justin Gaethje to fight 7 fight win streak Charles Oliveira. This will be a fun fight if it hits the ground especially. I give the toughness & grittiness to Ferguson, but the finesse & slick striking to Oliveira. I love Tony Ferguson, but he took severe damage in his last fight against Justin Gaetje. Couple that with the 7 fight win streak of Charles, all finishes too. He has the momentum & I believe he will edge out a decision win.
The rest of the card is solid & definitely some fights to look out for both in the main card & prelims. Although this is the final PPV card in 2020 for the UFC, it is one not to miss.
