Pencils down, everyone. Step away from the table. The Detroit Lions have finalized their initial 53-man roster (for now) as Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline has come and gone. Even though this is the Lions’ roster today, expect more changes to come. 

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell alluded to that on Monday.

“Certainly, we’re looking to help our depth a little bit,” Campbell told reporters on Monday.” “And we may or may not have it here if I’m being honest with you.”

“I think what needs to be remembered here is that just between today and then tomorrow, some of these moves we make does not mean that these are the guys, that this is who we’re riding all the way through the season.” 

Campbell followed up the statement by saying some of the players who will make the Lions roster aren’t even on the team yet. 

Quarterback: 

Jared Goff, David Blough, and Tim Boyle.

Running Backs: 

D’Andre Swift, Jamaal Williams, Jermar Jefferson (rookie), and Godwin Igwebuike.

FullBack: 

Jason Cabinda

Wide Receivers: 

Tyrell Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown (rookie), Kalif Raymond, Quintez Cephus, Trinity Benson, and Tom Kennedy.

Tight Ends: 

T.J. Hockenson and Darren Fells

Offensive Line: 

Frank Ragnow, Taylor Decker, Jonah Jackson, Penei Sewell (rookie), Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Evan Brown, Matt Nelson, and Logan Stenberg

Defensive Line: 

Michael Brockers, Alim McNeil (rookie), Nick Williams, Da’Shawn Hand, Levi Onwuzurike (rookie), Kevin Strong, and John Penisini

Linebacker: 

Jamie Collins, Alex Anzalone, Derrick Barnes, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, and Anthony Pittman

Edge: 

Trey Flowers, Romeo Okwara, Julian Okwara, Charles Harris, and Austin Bryant

Cornerback: 

Jeff Okudah, Amani Oruwariye, Ifeatu Melifonwu (rookie), Bobby Price, Jerry Jacobs, and AJ Parker (rookie)

Tracy Walker, Will Harris, Dean Marlowe, and C.J. Moore

Special Teams: 

Jack Fox and Scott Daly. 

The Detroit Lions are currently without a kicker. The team released both Randy Bullock and Zane Gonzalez before the 4 p.m. deadline.
