Last night, the Detroit Pistons played a Summer League game against the New York Knicks. Detroit got their first Summer League win against the Knicks with a final score of 93-87.

Stars for the Pistons

The first star for the Pistons was Jamorko Pickett. Pickett came in as the replacement starter for Sekou Doumbouya. Picket played lights out tonight and proved himself as player with lots of upside. He ended his night with 18 points, shot 7-10 from the field and 4-4 from three-point range.

The second star of the night was Cade Cunningham. Cunningham had another terrfic night and each time he steps on the floor he continues to improve. He knocked down seven three-pointers tonight which was a game high. He scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

The third star goes to Killian Hayes. Even though Hayes did not have big time numbers on the stat sheet, he still improved immensely from his last game. The first was Hayes finally hitting three-point shots. The previous two nights, Hayes did not make a single three- point shot. Tonight, he splashed two three pointers which is a huge step for him. Also, he was better as a playmaker and is getting the chemistry down with Cunningham each game. He ended the tonight with 7 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.
