The Detroit Lions are starting to get some national attention. Not all of it is good. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith asked “What possible reason do you have to believe in Jared Goff?”

Dan Orlovsky replied “Leads the NFL in explosive plays”

It’s nice that the Detroit Lions are starting to get national attention. However, the more eyes the more critics you will have.

Jared Goff has had complete control of the offense so far this season. He is a solid game manager and has a winning history. The debates about Goff will carry on until he takes the Detroit Lions to the playoffs. That might never happen. But when/if it does I think we can all agree Goff is better than most gave him credit for.
