Sada Baby is a Detroiter to the core and quite the fan of all Michigan sports teams, collegiate and professional. He showcases it in a big way when he talks about the Detroit Pistons.
His fandom was on full display Tuesday evening during an impromptu media session the Detroit-bred hip-hop artist held attention to his basketball league, P League Basketball.
While speaking with Woodward Sports’ Joey Radio, Sada Baby gave his thoughts on the transactions made by Pistons’ GM Troy Weaver and his draft picks/signings. And to his credit, he was very knowledgeable in analysis on the team.
However, when asked which Detroit Pistons player he could beat one-on-one, the “aktivated” rapper gave a quick one-word answer.
“Killian Hayes”, said Sada Baby. “You’re a bum.”
“I honestly never heard his name until draft night. So when we drafted him, it f* me up. F me up. Like, I thought we were looking at like Tyrese Haliburton, [and] all types of other s***. It’s cringeworthy”.
Earlier today, reports surfaced that Killian Hayes suffered a torn hip labrum Monday night during the Pistons loss the Milwaukee Bucks.
Hayes could miss 4-6 weeks if he avoids surgery, but will essentially be out for the season if he needs it. The recovery time for the injury after surgery is 4-6 months.
