Former Detroit Red Wing Tyler Bertuzzi was met by a mixture of cheers and boos for his highly anticipated return to Little Caesars Arena during the Wings 5-3 victory over the Boston Bruins Sunday afternoon. While many came to see the high flying Bruins, Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin and Calder Trophy winner Moritz Seider stole the show.
Larkin’s performance was particularly impressive as he rose up against his best friend and the NHL’s top team. He garnered three points (one goal, two assists) while Seider notched two points (one goal, one assist).

The Red Wings were dominant on special teams with two power play goals and a remarkable short-handed goal by Seider. Seider made an impressive defensive play on the penalty kill which led to a breakaway opportunity that he capitalized on by backing handing one past Swayman.

Red Wings’ Alex Chiasson Earning His Stripes
Alex Chiasson has had quite the journey across the NHL and AHL, but the 31-year-old Montreal native has certainly made his time in the winged wheel worthwhile. In his last three games, Chiasson has been a key player for the Red Wings special teams, tallying four points (two goals and two assists) since seeing extra time on Detroit’s power play. He has played a crucial role out front, replacing Bertuzzi and Oskar Sundqvist. Chiasson’s grit and determination have made him a valuable asset to the team, and his recent success is a testament to his hard work and perseverance.
