Takeaways From Tonight’s Game
- Ville Husso looks like the Husso we saw to start the season. After struggling returning from an illness earlier in the month, Ville seems too has found his stride again. Husso kept Detroit in game, making countless amount of big saves to end the third period along with in OT.
- Michael Rasmussen continues to have a career year. The now two time OT hero, scored the opening goal in the first meanwhile finished with the game winning assist setting up Robby Fabbri in overtime. Earlier in the week, Coach Lalonde spoke on how well Rasmussen has been playing noting “You know he’s playing good when you have three or four guys coming up to you, saying they wanna play with Ras.”
- Dylan Larkin played great all game, but particularly his play in OT is what impressed me the most. While he was not involved with the game winner, Larkin took control regaining possession multiple times and creating chances on his own. Dylan’s energy was a difference maker after the Red Wings came off a huge PK in overtime.
