Poirier confirmed with ESPN that one of the most highly anticipated fights of 2020 is a not happening any time soon. Dustin Poirier vs Tony Ferguson has Fight Of The Year written all over it, but due to financial terms the fight has been scrapped for now.
Poirier stated he is heading back to his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana after training in Florida in hops of booking a fight. The former Lightweight champ wants to get back in the octagon, but wants the terms to be right.
“UFC and I didn’t come to terms, I will not be fighting on Oct. 24. I’m a prize fighter and the prize needs to be right.”

This fight is a pivotal fight for the LW divsion. Both fighters need a win to be in talks to fight for the belt. This is a fight everyone wants to see so I’m hoping the UFC can come to terms with both fighters. As far as how Ferguson feels about the situation he’s busy living life…
