Ortega Makes 146 After Shaving His Head For Charity

Brian Ortega shocked the MMA world on Friday after debuting a new look at the UFC Weight ins. Ortega weighed in at 146lbs and is good to go for his fight against the Korean Zombie on Saturday, but some are questioning if T-City shaved his head to make the cut to 146. According to sources, Ortega shaved his head and donated his Locks of Love for children going through chemotherapy.

Listen, I don’t want to come off as an asshole, but did T-City possibly shaved his head so he could make weight for this Saturday? Ortega stated in 2017 that he almost had to shave his head to make the 145 mark when he fought Renato Moicano.

Although 5’8 is a pretty typical height for UFC Featherweights, T-City is stocky at 145. If he were to move up to Lightweight I think he would have a better shot at more victories by not having to cut so much weight. Regardless, Ortega is 14-1 in his MMA career and I think some fans are seriously doubting his talent. This weekend is a huge test for T-City, but should he win I could easily see fans jumping back on the Ortega bandwagon.
