Ariel Hewani has reported that Nick Diaz will be making his return to fighting in early 2021. According to Diaz’s manager Kevin Mubenga, Diaz is 100% making a return next year and is setting his sights on the Welterweight division.
Nick Diaz had his last fight in 2015 when he faced UFC legend Anderson Silva. Originally ruled a victory for Silva, the decision was later overturned after Silva tested positive for drostanolone and androsterone. Diaz also tested positive for marijuana. The Stockton native holds a MMA record of 26-9 with notable wins over B.J. Penn, Robbie Lawler, and Paul Daley. 2020 has been a strange year for the UFC, but this just adds to the madness and I can’t even predict what is going to happen anymore. Lets hope and pray he still has a contract with the UFC, but I’m going to assume he does. Could you imagine Nick Diaz coming back?! I. Can’t. Wait.
