“I’m in my prime age and I’m wasting time without fighting” – Francis Ngannou
#1 Ranked UFC Heavyweight Francis Ngannou is ready for a fight and is practically begging the UFC to set up his next bout. Ngannou aired his frustration with the organization in a recent interview with MorningKombat.
“I’m in a position which is very complicated. We have to make money. We have to do something for fighting. Sometimes when you wake up, it’s really hard to go to the gym and train because you need that motivation. Like, ‘OK, I’m training, but for what? When will I fight?’ I don’t know. So you have no clue about anything and it’s tough to find motivation.”

Miocic vs Ngannou 2 Planned For March Card?
Dana White mentioned in October that the UFC is working on a March date for Miocic vs Ngannou 2. Sure, Stipe beat Ngannou in January 2018, but since then the title has only been defended four times. The Heavyweight division needs to move forward and not keep stalling thanks to Stipe. Listen, I love Stipe Miocic. He’s one of the most dominant Heavyweight champs of all time, but the champ needs to keep the division going.
I understand Covid has put a big wrench in everyone’s plans, but if Stipe is unwilling to defend any time soon set up Ngannou vs Johnson to fill some time. Here’s what Francis had to say about a potential match with Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson…
Yeah, I would be very interested in that fight. Rumble Johnson is a guy that I respect a lot. I know him as a person, and I admire him as a person. It would be great to share the Octagon with him, no matter if it’s for the title or not. Even beyond Rumble Johnson I still have some dreams and some aspirations,” Ngannou continued. “But I have stay focused and realistic, and deal with the situation right now. Obviously that question has popped up before, and I would be down for that fight. It would such a great fight, and it would be such an honor to fight Rumble Johnson.
