The NBA Draft is officially ten days away. There are still multiple scenarios that could happen on draft night. Here is my latest mock draft with surprising jumps and trades.

1. Detroit Pistons- Cade Cunningham

PG/SG – Oklahoma State – 19 Years Old- 6’8″

Cade Cunningham is the clear number one pick. The Pistons need a playmaker that will compliment their young core that is being assembled. The Detroit Pistons are looking into possibly trading down to draft either Jalen Green or Evan Mobley.

2. Houston Rockets- Jalen Suggs

PG/SG- Gonzaga- 19 Years Old- 6’4″

Reports came out this week that the Rockets are debating on drafting either Jalen Green or Jalen Suggs. While many thought Green was the clear number two pick. The Rockets could shock the world and take Suggs at number two. The Rockets are also very interested in trading up in the draft for the number one pick.

3. Cleveland Cavaliers- Jalen Green

SG- G-League Ignite- 19 Years Old- 6’5″

The Cavs are exploring all options with the third pick. The Cavs have interested in Jalen Green, Jalen Suggs, and Evan Mobley. Suppose the Rockets take Suggs with the second pick. Then I see the Cavs taking Jalen Green with the third pick. The Cavs need a generational talent, and Green is their guy. Green is the most explosive player in the draft, with high flying dunks and quick speed.

4. Toronto Raptors- Evan Mobley

C- USC- 19 Years Old- 7’0″

Evan Mobley moves down to number four to the Raptors. The Raptors could be drafting their next Chris Bosh. Mobley plays very similar to Bosh with his long length to help rim protect and get boards.

5. New Orleans Pelicans (Draft Pick Swap from Orlando)- Scottie Barnes

SF/PF- Florida State- 19 Years Old- 6’9″

In this mock draft, the Pelicans and Magic swapped picks. The Pelicans received the 5th pick and Terrance Ross. The Magic acquired the 10th pick and Steven Adams. Scottie Barnes moved back into the top five as the Pelicans need a small forward added to play alongside Ingram and Williamson.

6. OKC Thunder- Jonathan Kuminga

SF/PF- G-League Ignite- 19 years old- 6’8″

The Thunder have been in trade reports to move up into the top 2 of the draft. If the Rockets cannot move up, we could see the Rockets trading the pick to the Thunder. The Thunder are looking to find a player to join alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. If the Thunder can not move into the top 4, I see them still sticking to draft Kuminga.

7. Golden State Warriors- James Bouknight

SG- UConn- 20 years old- 6’5″

James Bouknight moves back down to the seventh pick. The Warriors are looking to make it back to the playoffs since 2019. Bouknight could be joining the backcourt with Stephen Curry. At the same time, Klay Thompson would move to the small forward position and play for the first time since the finals in 2019.

8. Orlando Magic- Davion Mitchell

PG- Baylor-22 Years Old- 6’2″

Nothing changed for the Magic at number eight. I see the Magic drafting Mitchell with the 8th pick regardless of the team moving down to the 10th pick.

9. Philadelphia 76ers (Draft Pick Swap from Sacramento)- Keon Johnson

PG-Tennessee – 19 Years Old- 6’3″

Hold up, Philadelphia moved into the top 10. How did this happen? In this mock draft, I made a significant trade. The Kings would receive Ben Simmons. The Sixers would receive De’Aaron Fox and the number nine pick. The Kings are very interested in bringing in Simmons as the team looks to make the playoffs for the first time since 2006.

If the Sixers make this trade, I see them drafting Keon Johnson at number nine. Johnson is one of the best defenders in this year’s draft. Johnson is a good defender both on and off the ball. The Sixers had the second-best defensive rating in the league last season. If drafted by the Sixers, Johnson could bring an extra boost on the defensive side of the ball.

10. Orlando Magic (Draft Picks Swap from New Orleans)- Moses Moody

SG- Arkansas- 19 Years old- 6’4″

With the Magic trading down to ten. The Magic would then draft Moses Moody with the 10th pick. He is known for his three-point shooting and rebounding. Moody shot 37.9% from 3-point land and averaged 5.9 rebounds per game. Moody could replace Terrance Ross as the team would trade him to the Pelicans in this mock draft.
