Michigan’s own Collin Anglin earned himself a UFC contract last night on Dana White’s Contender series. The Michigan State University alumni put on a dominating performance and defeated Muhammadjon Naimov via unanimous decision. Although the first round might have been a little rough for the South Lyon native, Collin put on a performance in rounds 2 and three to earn the win. Anglin now holds a professional MMA record of 8-1 and is on a 7 fight win streak.
Anglin admitted during his interview with the UFC that he has a degree in Criminal Justice, but decided to switch paths and focus on fighting after being arrested for assault during a bar fight. We should see Collin in the octagon soon as he stated he suffered no major injuries during his fight. Anglin currently trains out of Scorpion Fighting System in Brighton, MI.
