Matthew Stafford and Dak Prescott share a Texas bond and a QB bond. After least week’s devastating injury to Dak I’m sure every QB in the NFL took notice.

When Dak Prescott went down last week, Matthew Stafford became the talk of trade talks with Dallas. On a conference call Wednesday Matthew Stafford had some comments about Dak Prescott’s unfortunate ankle injury last week.

“It was horrible,” Stafford said “I felt so bad for him. He was playing so great, he’s been playing great for a few years now. Just been the heart and soul of that team and to see it happen – I was watching the game live, looked down for a second, looked back up and it did not look good obviously.

“I know that if anybody’s going to come back from that, it’s that guy. He’s an incredible guy and obviously a great player as well.”

On the same call Matthew Stafford was asked about reaching out to Dak.

“I don’t have (Prescott’s) cell phone number,” Stafford said, “but obviously you guys know I know Kellen. So I text Kellen and was like, ‘Hey, make sure you pass on my best wishes to Dak and all that.’

“I just felt terrible for him. I know Andy (Dalton) will come in and do a great job for them. But Dak’s a special player and for that to happen is not good.”

Andy Dalton now takes over as the Dallas Cowboy’s signal caller. He should be able to keep the offense on track and is a viable fantasy football option. I’m assuming Dallas will lean on the run game, but it will be hard to not pass to the weapons they have at WR.

Dak Gives Update:

Just after I wrote this article Dak released a statement on his IG. He seems in great spirits.
