The Detroit Red Wings faced off against the Blues at Enterprise Center, an eagerly anticipated for the return of David Perron to St. Louis. Detroit entered the game on a three-game losing streak, but were able to snap it with a thrilling 3-2 victory thanks to Lucas Raymond’s shoot-out winner after what was an intense overtime period. Meanwhile, Alex Chiasson continued his impressive run on the power-play by scoring his fourth goal on the power-play since joining Detroit. Filip Zadina also got on the score sheet tonight tying the game with his third goal of the year by burying a rebound off a Dominik Kubalik rocket off the face-off.

Magnus Hellberg made 20 saves on the night, meanwhile was flawless during the shootout, securing his fifth victory of the season since joining the Red Wings back in December.

 

Red Wings’ Perron Returns to St Louis

David Perron, who spent 11 years of his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues, made his return to Enterprise Arena. Early in the first period, he registered an assist, moving him to sixth place on the all-time points list at the venue. Perron currently ranks second in points on the Red Wings with 43. (16 goals and 27 assists)
